If you get a spot at the fence I think there is a good chance of seeing animals, it really is a chance and time and place!

Hi Everyone

Sightings from camp fences    , Now that is something I can say, I have had a few awesome experiances :D

I have spent a night at Sable Dam, and I can say I spent a whole night sleeping with a pride of Lions, as the Lions slept right underneath the hide that night due to the rain, they were so close that we could actually smell them, and the roar the Big Male gave at around 2:30am was one very scary thing

I have also had a near perfect experience at Skukuza last year over the Cricket Weekend, where a Leopard attempted to hunt down Bushbuck right outside fence of Skukuza, and that was another sighting which was very memorable, as it started when me and my dad had our dinner and were walking along the fence looking for some animals when we saw a herd of bushbuck sitting next to the fence, and out of the blue we hard dog like barks and the bushbuck ran, and I was like that is Wild Dog only to later realize that Bush buck mark barking sounds :slap: , and out from the back came a beautiful Leopard    , and than the Leopard had a few attempts, but I guess it was just not meant to be, and the Leopard went away.

Did you manage to sleep at all with the pride of Lions underneath the hide kallis1786?

I didn't sleep for a second Hilda, but the worst was when Nature was calling and I had to use the rest room  , I was scared like no ones business

Yes you should, I also want to book a night at Sable again, but I am struggling with dates, that roar was scary, it sounded as if Lion was inside the hide rather than underneath, that was an experience on its own.

But it was worth the experience Hilda, would definitely go again.
