Thanks Nkuhlu! It just looks from the pics as though they are the same size because there is space at the end of the two beds in the CTT2 and it looks as though there is no space at the end of the 4 beds in the CTT4. We only need two beds, so we were wondering which would be the better bet in terms of comfort. This will be our first visit to Tamboti (2018).

Hi salamanda, if you are two people I would suggest the four bed for extra comfort. The space at the end of the beds in both sizes is exactly the same, a small wardrobe and a standing fan. The extra beds come in handy for any gear not stowed in the wardrobe.
You will enjoy Tamboti

Many thanks for that Nkuhlu. In the pic that I looked at, there was a fridge at the end of the beds in the CTT2 and not in the CTT4 which is probably why the space looked bigger. I assume the fridge is outside on the deck in a cage . . . . I'm sure we shall enjoy it - looking forward to a new experience!

Salamanda, Nkulu has given excellent advice.

I find that when I am alone, the 2 bedded unit is perfect. It can be rather small on longer trip, or for folk with a lot of equipment. I know that TessaG always books a 4 bedded unit.

I am long overdue for a Tambotie stay. :(

Thanks MM. Well as we shall be in Kruger on a two week trip and will ,as usual, have plenty of equipment, I shall accept the advice given by you and Nkulu and book a CTT4! The help from both of you is much appreciated :gflower: :gflower:

Hi everyone

I hope someone could give me some advise on Tamboti. I am taking my parents there in October and we booked a CTT4 tent. Ive stayed in number 19 before and it had a great view, but it was far from the ablutions. My father can't walk that good and we really need a tent that is the closest to the ablutions. (And with any luck with a bit of a view as well  ) Can you please suggest a number that is the closest? (looking at the map doesn't help. I thought number 19 was close to the ablutions when I booked that one last time, but when walking on the paths it was not that close at all :hmz: )

Great thanks Philip. Have you stayed in one of those 2 before? How's the view form there? But the most important thing is that the walk to the bathrooms is not too far for him.

Stayed at 11 with the view of the River and fence.

Hi roaneric, try and reserve no 10 the CTT4Z (disabled) it is close and does not have those steps but a ramp with a rail, and is close to the bathrooms

Hi there

Thanks,. but unfortunately the CTT4Z are already fully booked so we asked for number 11. Still haven't got a reply yet, but hope they will help us out and put us in one closest to the ablutions. Thanks for all your advice :gflower:

Hi Roaneric, We stayed in No 11 in April, found it very convenient. When you walk to the bathrooms, we used to walk towards No 10 then use their little road where they parked their car, as it was closer than using ours .Our neighbours did not mind and ground was level. But you will still need a good torch. Enjoy your stay, we did.
