Croc Bridge

Unread post by shrew » Sun Jan 15, 2012 6:45 pm

Hi All

Have added 2 nights in Croc Bridge to my Kruger trip in late March. I have managed to secure the safari tents #7 and 8, but have one question and can't get the answer on the site so hoping someone out there can help me.

Do they supply crockery and cutlery? or do I have to take my own?

Looking forward to "Heavan on Earth"

No, they do not supply so you will have to take your own. Not sure if it's for hire at CB though, maybe someone in the know can comment on that.

BTW, you will enjoy # 7 & 8, perimeter and the best location imo

We always stay in Tents 7 or 8 and they are the best and we have numerous 'visitors' during the evening. Even had an elie crash through the fence at 1 am! That was exciting stuff!

CB does morning drives and walks, sunset drives and on occasions night drives too. These are all available to both folk staying in the camp and those from outside (they park inside and drive out after the activity).

We have always loved Croc. Bridge and have spent many wonderful weekends there.

However, we are now a family of four and we find ourselves feeling excluded with the accommodation available at this camp.

With two young children, is there any possibility of having an extra mattress in the 3 bed units? (Or even having the two children sleep at opposite sides of one bed?).

Has anyone organized a similar arrangement? Or is it "book two units or nothing"? (Even if we do book two, our family will jam into one...).

Thanks

Extra mattresses are available and used......but it is a case of first-come-first-served unless booked in advance. As Elsa suggested, contact the camp direct. Stephen Nel is now the camp manager there (stephen.nel@sanparks.org)

vanillamanilla wrote:Thank you. And do they use the Larger vehicles or the smaller vehicles from Croc Bridge?

Hi, Vanillamanilla

Please note that Crocodile Bridge has sunset drive not night drive at the price is R202. The kind of vehicle used depend on the number of people. For example small vehicles carry 10 people while the bigger vehicles carry 22 people.

Croc Bridge Shop

Unread post by prings » Tue May 13, 2014 11:37 am

Can someone advise what food is available at this current time at the shop. After the closure of the unofficial kitchen, what was said to be available during our visit in August last year, was very lacking.

In March, premade sandwiches, in take away plastic containers, stored in a fridge. There may have been something else but that's what we saw.
Nice coffee bar outside.

Hi Guzz

The Day visitors area is to the right of the Petrol station as you come in the camp gate. You can hire skottels from the patrol attendant.
