The reason I needed to know where it was, was because I wanted to propose to my Fiance at the top of that hill.

Luckily for me, one of the virtual rangers knew what I was talking about and a good friend of mine Chris H also found the spot in his GPS software and google earth after I drew a picture of how I thought it would look from the air.

I did in fact take my then girlfriend to the spot on the 23rd of Feb 2007 and I proposed to her there.
We then spent an hour or so sipping champagne on the hilltop before heading to Lower Sabie.

We shall be returning to the spot on on our honeymoon as we will be spending a few days in the park before continuing onto the rest of our destinations.

It is indeed a special place to many.

Been there at least 5 times
but best to visit in the early hours before 09.00
Air still crisp and clear
You can even see the Drakensberg clearly then

and we can't even do that any longer due to the alcohol restrictions so you may as well do as Bert suggests!

I'm not allowed to get out at Granokop

My mom had a dream about 20 years ago that I was attacked by a leopard on the koppie and she made me promise that I would NEVER get out there... EVER!!

Haven't broken my promise yet!! :naughty:

PS: I am allowed to get out anywhere else that is legal to do so... guess the leopards won't like the taste of me anywhere else!!

MOTHERS!!!! :wall: :wall:
