Our favourite is the quieter more Northern Camps. This trip we spent 3 nights in Tsendze in our Penta. Unfortunately we had some damage to our Penta. When driving along the road between camp sites the side of my Penta hit a cut off tree stump which is very close to the side of the road. It crumpled the trim and bent the door frame, rim and bent the axle. The damage is just over KR20. Rodger was very quick to assist and with a 10 pound hammer we managed to panel beat the rim into a usable shape. I have reported the incident to SANParks management and they undertook to remove the stump. The side of the tree stump is shiny from all the incidents.

Be careful when driving in the camping area with larger caravans.

Hi, Mulderpm. What site number is alongside and opposite the stump that damaged your caravan? We are camping there, for the first time, in May this year and I tow a Jurgens Classique. I'd like to be forewarned, as I'm booked onto site number 22. :(

HI Rodger, Can you please advise if the tree stump, near the side of the road, that damaged a caravan a little while ago, has been removed and if not what site numbers is it next to. I'm coming in May and I have a large caravan and want to make sure I don't damage my caravan.
Thank you.

Glad to hear you are back Roger and all of you are safe. While you were away I posted a question, just below your last post, about the stump that damaged a caravan. Can you please give me an answer. We will be in Tsendze in a few weeks time and I don't want to have a similar problem. Thank you in advance Roger. :D

Hi all. It has been a couple of years since our last visit to Tsendze (far too long!) but we are so pleased to be visiting again on 25 and 26 August. :) . We travel in a motorhome, and have solar panels on the roof, so want a site with plenty of sun. We booked 29 through Mopani, but would actually prefer another site as last time we were there we had a large tour bus group right next to us. Rodger, can you recommend another sunny site for us, available on those two nights? Looking forward so much to visiting our favourite camp again.

Great to see you back here The Regans! I'm sure rodgerh will respond soon for a nice, sunny Tsendze camp site!

I have always thought of Tsendze as an idyllic quiet remote camping area!
I was sorry to read of a large tour bus visiting it!

A very warm welcome to you, The Regans. :gflower:

Goodness, a tour bus does not sound a good experience for Tzendze. I hope that you find the right camping space. It does sound rather a comfy motorhome. 8)

I am shocked - a large "Tour Bus" in Tsendze!!!!!.

I agree with manicwalker - "NO TOUR BUSES IN TSENDZE". :   : :x :wall:

I have been there when there was a smaller commercial tour group and that was noisy enough with a messy ablutions.

I was also disgusted to find tour groups are using Balule & Maroela and have found a large overland trucks there. Again noisy & messy.

Pleeeease NOT in Tsendze. Balule & Maroela i.e Our Bush Camps where we go for P & Q.

Hi The Regan's, site 29 is also good for your solar panels, also you can confirm at Mopani if site 30, 32 or 17 if is available on your arrival, they also big and open for your panel, but all of that 29 is the best
