Will / is there sound at all, on the live cams?

I can't hear anything, and was wondering if the sound was down on my PC or if I need to turn something up on the website?

Thanks.

P.S. Thank you (Dev team) for the amazing cams!!!

I STILL don't get the live Orpen webcam, no matter when I try — repeatedly over the past few weeks. As I reported to Danie and Steven earlier, I have NO problem with videos or live feeds elsewhere, on this forum or off, ONLY with this new thing? :wall: :wall: :wall:

Really a pity that you can't get the live Orpen cam, Arks :(
You do use this link http://www.sanparks.org/interact/multim ... ?cam=orpen to access ?

I sometimes, actually most of the time, have problems with videos/live feeds elsewhere but no with our Orpen webcam live video streaming.

The live cam seems to be working fine at the moment arks... how long do you wait on the page for the video to load? For me it takes around 10 to 15 seconds before the video shows up. What browser are you using?

Thanks for trying to help, Matthys and PJL, but nothing seems to work, no matter how long I wait for it. I tried both that link and just clicking on the drop-down menu (same link, I think?), but nada :wall: :wall: :wall:

Not a train smash, because I don't really have time to watch any cams (I manage the occassional look into the highlights threads, but that's it), but it would be nice just to be able to see what the live cam actually is, even if I can only rarely pop in for a glimpse :wall:

Hey vinkie, I think this is down to the player and your browser when watching the live cam. I've seen it a few times before where for some reason the connection to the video stream goes down temporarily - the player in your browser resets back to where you started watching from (and also never goes past the point of where the connection problem was). Simple solution is a quick refresh of the page and it seems to resolve it

Hi Pete,

I was recording the videostream and when I came back the Live Cam was offline the screen was black and reloading..... When I watched the video it seemed to have gone to daytime video.
I refreshed the page and the Live Cam was offline and didn't come back online.
So that's why I missed the Leopard last night(was planning to let the recorder run the while night) :wall:

Hi vinkie,

Nope, if the streaming stops it will play the "current" loop, of which a time frame I cant say, but no its not a pre-recorded video.

I am not sure if I am correct but my live streaming seems to be in sync with the webcam still picture at Orpen at 12:00 (noon) Sunday

Now the cam is working fine but last night it wasn't working well.....take a look here

Cam problems at night....change from nightimage to day

This could be a caching image, ie if the browser cant get a file to use a cached version, which would explain the above.

Try do a hard re-fresh when you see this and advise?

Hi arks,

Can you do the following for me?

1. What browser and version are you using?
2. What internet line and speed do you have?
3. What version of windows are you running?
4. Click start, then in the search box, type "cmd", without the quotes, a black screen will popup. I need to commands run from this screen.
4.1 type "ping gardenia.sanparks.org" without quotes
4.2 type "tracert gardenia.sanparks.org" without quotes

If you can send me the results from the two black screen commands and the answers to my questions I will try assist further.
