I have asked our colleagues at Orpen to adjust the floodlight's aim at the waterhole a bit as it was missing the area behind the waterhole at night. A friendly critter/baboon  'adjusted' the flood light's aim a bit causing the area behind the waterhole to be very dark/underexposed at night.

I think my colleague in picture was just checking the aim of the flood light after adjusting it back to its normal/original position...a bit dangerous to do it after dark! :naughty:

Thanks Orpen Tech Team!

Thank you all.

I don't know what you mean Deeds?

To me it looks as if the ground is not level on the other side of the water - as if a digger has been used to dig a trench. I'll have to wait for the animals to come and see how they approach the water.

I think the rain has washed the sand away(that covers the edge) a little bit....so you can see the edge of waterhole... :D

So I presume it is not a hollow / depression behind the buffalo?! :?

I must say...you could be right.....looks as if the Zebras and the Buffalo are standing a little higher....maybe the rain has washed some sand away.... :hmz: If you look at Lionspoons post without animals you can see water standing in the lower part.

Any ideas as to what it is right on the edge top left? :hmz:
