I saw the Teals (a pair) at one of the Nshawu water holes (#3 I think?), just near the S149/S50 junction. I have one very bad photograph, for the most part the birds were obscured by grass tufts at the water's edge. WIth the binos the dark cap and blue/gray bill was clearly visible. I must admit that, at the time, we were not aware that this was a very special sighting for Kruger....

311 is rather crowded....

But in October maybe Brenden, Joh van Rensburg, Ladybirder and Albert can help me find a perch of my own on the Pafuri weekend.

Oh yes, 2 spots just became available because of stork activity.

If you would like to know more, and can tolerate the abovementioned, send Joh a PM, or ask me to wake him up.

Following a recent trip , I'm up to 323. There are at least 4 Pied Avocets at Engelhard dam at the moment for anyone wanting to add them to their list. I see that a number of people have seen Lesser Jacana at Skukuza golf club. I was there in June but I see they discourage non-golfers from walking near the water ?

Strange Highbury, because the crocs only seem to like tipsy golfers......
