Looks more like rufous naped to me!

Hi was at Letaba in November 2016, can't idently this fella. About the size of a thrush

Thank you Hilda for the correction to African Barred Owl or Owlet.
I can see from Newman's that it does indeed have barred tail feathers rather than the spots of the Pearl spotted
