@weirdnumber:

I would guess a weaver of some description.. :lol:
In June, so non-breeding plumage for the males; could be either non-breeding or female Southern Masked Weaver, or Female Village weaver.
I cannot really make out the eye colour, but I would tend to guess Southern Masked (Female).
My 2 cents...
Searching for a Cape Eagle Owl....

Is this a green-backed Camaroptera?

:thumbs_up: Skukuza is a great spot for them.

If I remember correctly, there have been records of Grey Backed being found way up north around Punda and Pafuri, but Green Backed is the only one found commonly in the KNP

When asking for an ID please supply, location and time of year, and what you might think it could be.

i.e Kruger Park, 20 November, blacksmith lapwing.
Whatever (according to BB): "You are correct but I don't want to admit it".

Sure Bush Baptist
I forgot. It was seen in the Aoub River Road in KTP, June 5th 2013. I thought it could be an Ostrich chick when I saw it on the road, two years and a half ago. Now I see in the pic it doesn't look like one, since it has no long neck....

Looked at my Sasol Bird Guide, but couldn't find this particular chick.

Cheers
Charbel
