They could also be non-breeding males. They don't have the wattles.

I went over our photos again, and it appears there are Wattled Starlings around and mingling with these guys, so I'm comfortable with the juvenile Wattled Starling ID.

I saw this on 27 March in the KNP near Crocodile bridge. It was with a couple of Laughing doves feeding on the gravel road.
Is it a juvenile Emerald spotted wood dove?

I think it is a juvenile Namaqua Dove Chris du Preez. :D
