Can anyone help me with this bird, I think it may be a juvenile African Crowned Eagle. It was photographed on 5 August 2014 in the Kruger Park near Nkulu picnic site. It was being chased by a mature Martial Eagle which was noticeably smaller than this bird. Thank you in advance.

having a look through another book, it now does not look like a juvenile African crowned eagle at all :wall: but more like a juvenile martial eagle :hmz:

Isinkwe, SO and I think it might be a juv. Martial eagle. Grey-green feet, white plain leggings and dark eye point to it for us.

It could have been chased out of the mature eagle's territory.........

But hey, we might be wrong in our assumption as we are still very much novices............

Whatever it is it's a brill picture

Identification Help - Raptors

Isinkwe, you are (finally) correct. It is a gorgeous juvenile martial. Females are larger than males, so this might just be dad chasing daughter out of his territory to find her own.

Can anyone help with identifying the following please?

Taken around Baobab Hill on the H1-8 near Pafuri

I'm thinking juvenile martial eagle or african fish eagle but they all look a bit similar to me.
Thanks in advance.

Is this a juvi Martial eagle as well? Been struggling with this one, but Brawler's pic made me think it may be?
KNP 2009 - not a great pic, but the photo equipment was not great back then :P

Seen between Mopani and Satara in June 2015. Could it be an imm. Martial Eagle?
