I'm not 100% sure, but I think that this may be a juvenile bokmakierie? Seen at WCNP on 7 September 2009.

Such nice photo's! We used to have a few of them in our garden when I was small and I remember sitting and watching them for ages... They are such beautiful birds!

Did You Know? :hmz:
The Bokmakierie is a near-endemic bird. Near-endemic are birds who are confined to Southern Africa, but which extends their ranges marginally into countries to the north, such as Zambia and Angola.
"A roaring lion kills no game."
"Until lions start writing down their own stories, the hunters will always be heroes."
"If you kill a tree, you are killing a bird."

this one really has me puzzled :hmz: :hmz: Could it be a juvenile of some sort? Perhaps a honeyguide? Or a sub-adult bokmakierie? I'm baffled! :wall:
