The Shrike is a young bird, so does not show the broad eyestripe of the adult. Grey headed has a much sturdier bill.

My first 3 sightings of this bird resulted in less than perfect photos. After hearing it for weeks, I finally saw and managed to photograph it at Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens on 10/09/2017.
