Interesting Gull at Mkhombo dam

There is currently a very interesting gull on display at Mkhombo dam, Mpumalanga.

Initially believed to be a Lesser Black-backed Gull, the bird now going through moult is showing signs of a very pale grey back and an interesting debate surrounding its id is running on Facebook groups.
