@Bushbuddies, please forgive my rudeness fort not commenting on your post of a few pages back. Indeed it is great to be in liferland for the first time, and occasionally you don't know where to look or at which of multiple lifers that manifest simultaneously.

Hi EveryoneImage

I'm a newbie here. I always loved birds, but its just a few years ago that I actually stopped and made pictures of them. I want to start my bird list for the first time now, I got a very nice Sasol Birds of souther africa bird book as a present and now I'm ready. I am gradually going through all my pictures of the last few years and will try to identify each and every bird I find and add them to my list.

When I'm finished, do I just add the number here? Or do I have to write the names of all the birds here as well? (Don't think it would be more than 100 but who knows  )

There are different lists you can use simultaneously roaneric, i.e. this one, as well as Southern African Bird Photography Life List. Just have a look in the index here: Index: Birding - Southern Africa, for all the interesting topics.

I'm still busy compiling my list, but first have to ID all my pictures before I can add my total to date. It doesn't matter if it is 10 or more, you are more than welcome to post it here.

As Hilda and Barry said: just post the number! It will be good to add another contributor to the list.
I will update the list at the end of August (or just before)

Well done on six new birds to your list Arks!

@ roaneric: You can also add your birds seen during a year on this list roaneric: Stiffnecks Year List 2016.

Albert is kind enough to keep this list up to date. If there are some of your birds seen during this year that is on the "outstanding" list, you can post it here, with the date and place where you have seen it, and Albert will add it to the list.
