Hi Arks,
Info from the leaflet received when checking in at Karoo NP :
Check-in time commences at 15:00 and accommodation must be vacated by 9:00.

Hope that helps :D

If you find you may arrive after closing time , then you can call the reception . They will then leave your key at the main-gate for you , and you can then check in at reception the next morning
Tread softly , and let your departure not be spoiled by the damage of your arrival

Next :
3 - 6 Sept 2013 - Punda.
7 - 10 Sept 2013 -Shingwedzi .
11 - 13 Sept 2013 - Balule .
14 - 17 Sept 2013 - Satara .

Thanks, okie. I was more concerned about arriving too early rather than too late :)

If you arrive too early , you can always go for a drive around first you know :naughty:
Drive down to Lammertjie leegte or up Klipspringer pass - gee whizz , go on and enjoy the park
Tread softly , and let your departure not be spoiled by the damage of your arrival

Hi DinkyBird
Don't mean to sound to blond (or grey) but does this mean that one can go on game drives until 10pm??

Must say he looks cool in pink

Debbie, I think (will need to confirm) this is only for the road between the gate and the camp. From the camp onwards further into the park, different gate times apply.

Yes only applies to the main road from the gate to the camp. But there are sometimes animals to "watch" on the main road. :P

The boom gates leading to the game areas are closed at sunset.
