Great images all   Unusual cub sighting Goronta. Thanks for sharing.

This mother appeared to be hunting when we sighted the limping cub following away behind. Note the open wound on the cub's right front leg.

Cheetah camouflage north of Nossob.........

Image

These two were stalking some Springbok, but there was next to nothing to hide behind, just look at how well they do camouflage!!

Okay lets get this ball rolling...........

Some of you might know that every year I have a gift........from myself to myself!!!

This gift is always some time in KTP, whether one day of ten! And always but always Kgalagadi had a gift for me somewhere during the trip!!

This year we knew P@m and RJM would be in the park too, but we would not be spending time in the same camps.

The second day we were in the park we drove up from TR on the nossob side and then via the upper dune road back down the Aub.

At Kamkwa a lady stopped us and asked whether we've seen the cheetahs. We said no, do you know where they might have been?? Yes she said only a few kilometers down the road there is already another white car at the sighting.

So we drove on, hoping that it might be P@m!! And there we found P@m and three cheetahs right next to the road............

This was 12H45 and we would eventually leave the sighting at 14H30!!

Seeing as the cheetahs were in no hurry going any where we had a nice chat with P@m.

At that stage it was only us at the sighting, but over the next hour a lot of cars piled up behind us.

P@m kept on saying they WILL hunt today, I know it!! So we stayed with them hoping that she might have cheetah communicating skills!!

After a while the cheetahs got up and started moving to the nearest waterhole........
