And if you are around the Nossob area have a lookout for this 'Termite mount'.

Quite nice I think

Morning,

Just got the following update from Nossob. Some animal got very curious about the cam at Nossob, and tried to investigate. When the guide was informed that the cam was upside down they went to see and this is what they came across.

The cam is on its way to me to see what is on the card and just to clean it a bit, now this makes it so interesting to try and figure out what was it that pushed over a 30kg 'termite mount' and actually take the cam of a dropper in the ground.

It sure makes for a interesting story, the mount is heavy so the only thing I can think of is that it could have been lions that 'played' with it....have to wait for the pics.

I went to retrieve the cam at Twee Rivieren Waterhole and here are some of the pics:

You can see on the night pics that the game drive spotlight is on some of the lions.

Now this is how lions should behave around a camera. The picture was taken by Hendri (Forumite).

Pics from the Kij Kij cam.

It seems that the pride of lions have had a kill close by and therefore the number of jackal, spotties around the waterhole.

Here are some pics taken from the cam at Marie se Gat. Some very inquisitive Jackal at the waterhole.
The dates and time is wrong on the cam as the guides took out the SD card and didnt change the time and date.

Then one got to close and tried to take a bite out of the cam which resulted only to dislodge the cam, but the guide during a drive saw this and went to fix the problem.
