@bridger1215 - Super sighting and pix of the female Balete. She seems to be currently seen at Cheleka a lot. We are hoping that she has some cubs hidden there.
Many thanks for posting! :gflower:

An update on Masego:
Jacliz saw Masego at Rooibrak yesterday. From Jacliz's description, Masego is very thin and seems in a worsening condition. She has recently split from her mom Miera, and seems to be struggling to adjust to life on her own. If you are in the park and do see her, please give her space, as well as report your sighting here or directly to the project(see link at the end of my post).
Many thanks
Wanda

I just saw this on Facebook:

‎Antonio Da Cruz‎ to Kgalagadi Sightings
April 19 at 6:50pm ·
Masego the warrior with a vanquished foe.
She rubbed up against our car and then we watched her dive into an old dead tree mound and take out a Cape Fox right next to us on Wednesday last week near 14th waterhole. She is very under nourished but seems full of life and playful. Excuse the horrid picture quality and light, it was 14:10.

Great news.

Interesting to see that she has moved further north into Itumeleng's territory and away from her original area around Montrose and Batulama.
Better pickings maybe???

As you can see by Muhammad's post above , Masego is looking better these days. She seems to be still moving north - heard tell that she was seen at Dalkeith on the 23rd and Craig Lockhardt on the 24th. Two leopards have also been seen together - perhaps Itumeleng and Masego ?

@hilda - Many thanks for posting. :thumbs_up:

We returned from KTP last week. This was our "leopard" visit. Never in our 20+ visits have we been this fortunate with leopard sightings.

We believe it to be Masego, we saw her 3 times, each a special sighting.

We saw her the first time on 14/4 when she chased an african wild cat (unsuccessfully). This was between 13de and 14de on the Auoub river. I was very fortunate to capture this event.

In my previous post, the photos submitted of her were taken on 19/4 and 22/4. By this time, 22/4, she had almost reached Dalkeith waterhole.
She was going from tree to tree, trying to flush out prey in the tree and dense undergrowth. The photo seen on Facebook was the successful downing of a cape fox, between 14de and Dalkeith

Hi TonyT,
Great photos of a beautiful Leopard. You've been to KTP 20 times? Nineteen more and I'll have caught up to you. :)
