With bird mum way up in the tree not very happy with Miera so close to her nest!

If we drove by at that moment we would have missed her sitting in that tree!!!

Leopard sightings update: (Part 2)
Boroko - seen at Bitterpan on 10/12/15 at 22.40.
Warona - seen at Rooiputs waterhole on 20/12/15 at 5.30am.
Balete - seen at Kaspersdraai and Cheleka waterholes in December 2015, and Cheleka waterhole on 07/01/16, 10/01/16, 11/01/16 and again on 15/01/16, with a wound on her neck. We are hoping her cub(s) are alright?
N!xau - seen at Polentswa in January 2016.
Kham - seen at Grootkolk waterhole on 31/12/15.
And last but not least - we have had a report of what looks like a new leopard - seen on 09/12/15 at Union's End. Awaiting more details of this sighting.

That is all the current sightings for now! Good leo sightings in the December/January period.

Historical Sightings
Two historical sightings were reported recently  - one of Khomani (Dec 2002) and one of Kanna( Feb 2004) The sighting of Kanna, who was Langklaas's and Rosa's mother, pre dates our oldest known sighting of her by 2.5 years. She clearly looks like an adult in the images and so we can revise a minimum age estimate for her to around 11 years old. This shows how important historical sightings are for the project. If you haven't done so before, we urge you to please report your historical sightings - either by posting your sightings on this thread, or reporting via the link at the end of this post. Many thanks!
