Hi Wanderw

Yep, have already sent AstroMatt details.
Pics are lousy - far away and deep shade, unfortunately.

Just saw the new site! Hoorah.

Thanks for sending through the sighting jenand  It's so great to know they are both doing well.
I don't think your picture is as bad as you make out...its really nice to see the two together and gives us a sense of how big a 5 month old cub is compared to her mother.
I know everyone would love to see it

ok. Here's a pic of the Auchterlonie female and Warona. Apologies it's not great, but they wouldn't come any closer or get out of the shade. (I waited for more than 2 hrs just to be able to get them in the same pic as it was)

AstroMatt ID'ed this leopard as Balete. I'll refer to her as a she, because
it is a small leopard and according to the booklet she is 2.5 years old by
now, so I think she is too small to be a male. I actually thought it was a
juvenile who had lost the mother early when I first saw her.

Anyhoo, we saw her at Nossob on the 19th and the 20th March 2013.
The full story will only be revealed on my TR obviously but we spent
quality time with her.

Image

Funnily enough, I had Balete on the cards when trying to ID her with AstroMatt's
super booklet, but dismissed my thought as I thought the range was wrong.

If you go to Nossob any time soon, look out for her as she has been quite a regular
on the cams as well, so it seems she is still around. I also saw a magnet on the sighting
board on the 24th indicating that a leopard had been seen at Nossob, so I reckon it was her.

If you check the Nossob webcam thread for March you will find a few more sightings of her as well.

AstroMatt confirmed that we saw this guy also together when you were coming down from GK
and we were still staying at Nossob but were on a drive north.
