To experience the Kgalagadi is always a previlage.
To see a leopard , a special bonus.
On our last day, we were so lucky to see a leopard chase a wild cat, which used up all his 9 lives to get away.
Just before Urikaruus water hole. Date 20/05 Time: 9.30 am
The leopard returned to the dune, and within 5 min caught another wildcat .
The he/she disappeared with his/her prize.

The next day, while leaving the park from MataMata, between 13th borehole and Urikaruus, we find , we think , the same leopard.
Date 21/05 Time 8.02

We spent an hour with her/him but then had to leave.

We stopped at a vehicle , and they showed us our first leopard of our trip.

We watched as he/she went in stealth mode to try and approach something...

Suddenly a wildcat appeared, running for it's life!

The chase was on... the Gemsbok also had a fright!

1999.JPG

The leopard stopped, turned around , as if nothing happened, and strolled back to the other side of the riverbed.

The Gemsbok, who had a scare, followed her to make sure she was on her way.

Thinking about her next move...

And quicker as you can blink an eye, she caught something to eat.
Well done!

@gjorgi - Lucky you! Super sightings of Itumeleng and Masego. Great to see Masego is doing well now! Thank you for posting!

@kyknetta - I believe you are correct. You found Barolong, Itumeleng's mom, not that often seen in daytime. How exciting to see her hunt. Fantastic sequence of pix! Thanks for posting!
