A Special Request:

Were you at Grootkolk on the 28th of July this year? The project has had a report of a leopard sighting(looks female) at the Grootkolk waterhole at around 21.30 that evening. If you were there, or know of someone who was there then, could you please ask them to report to the project - ( ktp.leopards@gmail.com). This leopard could be Rosa's cub, but at the moment we have no way to confirm the id, so are hoping to receive more pix taken on that night.

During our August 2016 trip to Kgalagadi we had a sighting of Motsumi on the 15th at 16h15.
We were staying in Nossob camp and on our afternoon trip south towards Dikbaardskolk looking for 5 young Lions that were seen that morning. We could not find the lions  ( we saw them on our way back to camp) :D and decided to go as far as Dikbaardskolk looking for other lions that were in that area. Three km from Cheleka I saw something lying in the road a distance away. As we came closer it became clear it was a Leopard. He saw us and got up and walked into the veld.
He was not on my side of the vehicle, but I managed to get a few shots before he disappeared in the tall grass.

@WillieV - lovely sighting of Motsumi, and  for getting pix as he walked into the veldt. I know they can disappear really fast. He looks in good condition. Many thanks for posting here. :gflower:

Thanks for posting the sighting of Safran and her cub mcowell. Still amazes me that she could make such a large kill.
WilleV...even short sightings are great sightings. Thanks for posting and for making the ID.
