Bitterpan cabin layout

Unread post by nancybsimmons » Thu Sep 10, 2015 1:04 am

Anyone know the layout of the Bitterpan cabins re RC2 versus RCZ2 cabins? My family needs 2 units since there are three of us (me, my husband, and my 13-year old son). For obvious reasons we would prefer our cabins to be side-by-side if possible. We have two RC2 cabins reserved, but I see that there is also a RCZ2 cabin open for our dates. What are the best reservations for getting two side-by-side cabins?

Dear nancybsimmons,

My suggestion would be to contact park management via e-mail that you will find on the Kgalagadi web page Here on the bottom of the page, because park management is responsible for the actual allocations for chalets/bungalows  .
Always be humble and understanding

Off to Kruger:
17-19/10/2016 Letaba
20-22/10/2016 Punda
23-25/10/2016 Shingwedzi
26-28/10/2016 Mopani

I agree with barryels - contact the Park direct. However, if you booked on one booking, the likelihood is that you will be given 2 rooms next to each other.

There are only 4 rooms/cabins at Bitterpan - all on a raised walkway - two either side of the communal kitchen area - so they are all quite close to each other and very safe (unlike some of the other wilderness camps where there is unfenced land around the cabins (Gharagab, Grootkolk. KTC, Kieliekrankie) and dangerous animals are often in the camps.

Wishing you a fantastic trip!
