101 Kruger Tales

Unread post by spargish » Mon Jul 07, 2014 1:21 pm

A book that I have been waiting for, for ages has finally released. 101 Kruger Tales compiled by Jeff Gordon is a book made up of 101 authentic true Kruger experiences. I received my copy on Friday and have not been able to put it down since.

The book has stories that you will identify with, that will shock you, make you laugh, make you want to cry but most of all make you remember how you fell in love with KNP.

The Book is available on Kindle and as a softcover from the books website.

I am busy reading it, and really enjoying.
Some of the more recent stories are familiar - the incidents have been discussed on the Forum

Kaapsedraai,
Am sure you will enjoy it.
A hard copy will prob be nicer than the Kindle version. Some of the stories have photos at the end, and they don't come out so nicely on the Kindle.

Really enjoyed your tale

I wonder if any other mites contributed? Jeff asked on twitter if anybody was going to be at Afsaal soon(this was sometime earlier this year). I was, so he asked if I could try take a picture of where the leopard stole the bacon at Afsaal as his pic wasn’t very clear. Sent him the pics and I was lucky enough to have a picture of mine in the book.

Cant wait for the next one

The tales that were familar to me were:

Leopard, cheetah, impala
Lion running through Timbavati picnic spot
Elephant turning over car
(there may have been another one or two)

The bacon tale, tale #5. Am I correct that it is only your photo being used. :hmz:

Will be interesting to hear if other mite contributed.

Yip, the newspaper clipping and the image I provided. Took quite a bit of looking around and debating to decided if that was the spot. I think I got the spot :hmz:

Rooies,
Is that the story of where you climb over the camp fence in the middle of the night to go and find the buffalo horns?

Yes, that's there too

Hi All,

I've just downloaded this 'book' on to my Kindle. I'm only a few stories in, but tears of laughter in my eyes on the train to work have the other passangers worried.

Yoda, you can get it for circa £4 via amazon for Kindle.

I'm enjoying it so much that I'm going to place an order for a hard copy too.

Which other forumites have stories that feature in this book?
