A year in the wild - James Hendry

Unread post by Impisi08 » Thu Mar 13, 2014 8:08 pm

A book about two brothers, Angus and Hugh MacNaughton, who are very different characters. They go to work at Sasekile Private Game Lodge for a year. The story is told in the form of e-mails to their sister Julia. I enjoyed reading the book, especially the adventures of "sarcastic" Angus. Funny and amusing. I am looking forward to read the 2nd book about the two brothers ("Back to the Bush").

An absolutely brilliant book. There's a second one called Back to the Bush, and both are highly recommended. I laughed until I cried :)

I also absolutely loved these 2 books, the second one made me laugh so much.
Found myself reading slower and slower not to come to the end of it, well worth a read for anyone who loves the bush.

I just finished the second book. ABSOLUTELY fabulous. So much humor in both books and also tears. It gives you an idea of how things works in a game lodge, from the guests all through to the catering and game drives. I would really recommend it.
