Thanks for your comments. I must say that all the painters here,Tigs, Painter and Gitane, all three are genre painters. The Bateleur is a great detailed painting but also the Boabab paintings are fantastic. I like also the ocean waves paintings and the colours very much. Well done.

An other favourite painting of mine is this little Lion standing on Elephant poop.

Hi Guys,

Wow,all your work is stunning.

Painter, I can see you love Boababs. it is also one of my favourite trees. Was once in Zim in a Boabab Forest. It was an amazing experience. one of the trees, very, very, very big, is called Muuyu.

Nico, your work is lifelike and stunning. I know how much work and time goes into a painting like that. All your other work is very good and your birds are special.

Some more of my work below. I've got a lot of work but can't post it here because it is not park related. Not to worry, there is still more to come.
I'm on track with my ellies again, and can finish it now. Will post it when it's done.

The first painting is of the Rigtersveld and the second one is of ellies I've done a While ago.

See you later.

Hi fellow artists, it's great to see so many beautiful paintings in this thread. These paintings are very important to show the people what wildlife and nature realy is. So that our work will not become a silent witness. Art is an importand link between humans and their future. It is great to meet some great wildlife painters on the web like Tigs, Painter, Gitane, Peter Piper and others. I hope that we can create a little change with our paintings on this planet. Looking forward to see more of your beautiful paintings.

Hi Gitane
Your vibrant use of colour is very uplifting and cheerfull - and I love the spontaneous bushwork in the seascapes. Can't wait to see the ellies - don't keep us in suspence!
I'm busy with a painting of wild dogs - and struggling with the foregound! But I'll get there ..... eventually.

This painting is of a riverbank - one of those special quiet moments one has in the park.

Hi everybody,

I love all your beautiful work.

Tigs, great stuff. Your cheetah is outstanding. A lot of work went into that and I like the way you captured the eyes and the texture of the hair.

Nico, what I like most of your work is the way you paint the animals in their surroundings. It tells so much about the animal.

Painter, great atmosphere. Beautiful work, well done.

At last, here is the painting of the ellies that I was bored with. I'm glad it is finished.

Image

Now, I'm waiting for all of you to put your stuff on when you are finished.
I'm gonna start with a landscape just to loosen up a bit.

See you all again.

Here two Leopard paintings that I made quite a long time ago. These animals are not easy to paint but that is just the challenge for a painter.

Micetta wrote:Wonderful wild dog painting, painter.
:yaya: Nico, how did you paint the cheetah - I can see every single hair of the fur? It almost looks too real  8)
Hi Micetta, you mean this Cheetah?

Image

I painted the Cheetah quite dark and made the hair colour lighter so that it looks like there is space between the hair of the fur.
