Chat under the big tree

Unread post by Meandering Mouse » Mon Feb 20, 2017 4:39 am

Morning all.

The kettle is boiling. There is tea/coffee/milk/cream vanilla chai and rusks made by my daughter.

It's a new week. I can't believe that this time next week I will be having a quick Kruger getaway. It is going to be so special spending that time with my daughter, even though she will be busy in the library for most of the time.

Stampie, I have the most wonderful gardener/helper who moves in to take care of my animals. He is from Malawi and the best house sitter that I have ever had.

Chirinda,  about your dogs.

I don't have a very busy day today, so I will start looking for my Kruger stuff today.

I do wish you all a most wonderful week ahead. Take care. :gflower:

Morning all! Tea and ginger bics in the caravan with wet bush view. Quite a lot of rain in the night. Francolins squawking this morning in protest about being wet maybe.

Have you read the entrance permit? Do you KNOW the Conditions of Entry?

Good morning all.
It's cool and very wet here, too.

Special hugs and sympathy to Trrrrpie and Philip.

Nice to have a reliable house sitter who you know will love and care for your animals, MM.

I have to take Ma to the doc for her 6 monthly script renewal just now. We're sure to have a coffee and cake afterwards just because that's what we always do after a doctor's visit to make her feel better!

Have a wonderful day, everyone and take enjoy this blessing of rain (sorry Capies, hopefully your turn will soon come).

I hope the doctors visit be good Stampie and may you and you Mother enjoy your coffee and cake afterwards :gflower: Thank you for the breakfast this morning Hugh :gflower:

Let us have a bit of Monday cheer. Lunch is served under a lush shady tree next to the river on Kanoneiland. A very big antique wooden table and comfortable wooden chairs are ready for all. It is that town that is built on the largest inland island in South Africa so please do not get lost. After lunch we could go for a walk amongst the vineyards of Kanoneiland.

Menu:

Durban Curry served with poppadums, yellow rice and sambals.

Prime Beef Sosaties served with Geelrys and Rosyne (Yellow rice and raisins) or

A Moviese fillet steak grilled in black pepper, coarse salt and served with a béarnaise sauce
Dessert: Legendary Kanoneiland Melktert.
