Got Shadow from my sister after my little Pomeranian passed on.
Was supposed to be a Labby.

Here are some of my "babies" of last season.

This is "Tom". He was nicknamed Tom because he has a big roman nose and reminded us of Tom Cruise.

Image

This was my favourite colt of the season. He is going to be stunning when he grows up. Would not mind having him as a riding horse when he is done racing.

Image

And this little fellow is only 1 day old and is taking a rest of spending the morning exploring. He was one of the foals I saved as the mare had a high risk pregnancy.

Lysha is really my daughter's baby. She was a new addition to the family 8 years ago. She was the runt of the litter and still behaves like a puppy! Next year my daughter is getting married and she will be gone. (Oh and my daughter too! )

SO says no more animals as he is the one that has to do the last deed and take to the vet. He just can't bear to ever have to go that road again.

So we will just love our little substitute grandchild until she moves house!

Thought I would show you some of my patients I have looked after already

Image Larger view

This mare came in for colic surgery (had a twist of the small intestines) and she was placed on fluids, a belly bandage is put on to keep incision clean and support stitches and she is muzzled to prevent her from eating. She has made a full recovery.

Image Larger view

This poor little baby was born with an infection and could not stand up for five days which required us standing him every two hours. He was placed on fluids, intravenous food, oxygen and was feed via a stomach tube. After five days he started standing on his own and has now made a full recovery.

Image Larger view

This is the little kangaroo I have baby sat for a friend. Her mother was killed and she has been rescued. She is delightful and has become part of the family. Her name is Joe.
