Ok just came across this forum :

Some pics from our last ... too long ago trip .We came across some Kruger magic .A termite colony was coming out and flying around with birds swarming around them .Thousands of birds and raptors .These photos don't do the experience much justice and I may miss identify the species (Birders pls correct me if needed)

Amazing pics of all the raptors!

My favourite is the first one with the Fish Eagle in the picture, have never seen a Fish Eagle with other raptors before!

Hi Roger,

Fantastic photo's. Was this perhaps near Mlondozi picnic site? We had a very similar sighting their a while ago.

Hi thanx for the comments .

@PietSkiet yes it was actually the S29 towards the Mlondozi ,was 2 and half years ago now .

What amazed me most was we sat for about an hour and a half in the middle just watching them :cam: (and we not great birders much) and about 5-6 cars drove up looked and drove off as if this was seen every day .

We took 100's of photos of the birds was an amazing thing to experience and see birds that you would not imagine together all flying and being together in one place. There were other raptors there as well but these were the photos that qualified for the thread .

PS Great thread hopeful we will get back to KNP in January and will definitely look for more 3 in one shots .
