I was wondering, how old is the young fish eagle?
As your pictures are from end of December?
I was there end of October and half November and didn't see a young one.
Was it too early to see him/her or did I just miss it? I have no idea how fast they grow :hmz:
And if I missed it, I know where to look for Oct/Nov this year when I can visit Lake Panic again!

According to studies done:

"The female normally lays one to three eggs in the nest, which are incubated for around 44 days before hatching. Until the chicks fledge after around 65 to 75 days"

Our Fish Eagle must have been older than 65 days ( our first visit was on the 16th of December). May be fledge the first week of December......

This was the second year in a row the young one was flying around during our visit in December.

The Giant KF and Squacco heron 'sticking its neck out' all brilliant sightings and action :thumbs_up:

The W-F ducks entertaining one with flying past activity :dance:
