Jan, I can just hear the noise those Thick-knees were putting up chasing the Bushbuck and Waterbuck away
Wonderful action captured of them protecting their own, does not matter the size.

Those dragonflies are quite a challenge to photograph, but you nailed this Common Tigertail

Another successful catch and great moment captured

Thank you for sharing all these wonderful moments

Dragonflies and Damselflies are such colourful insects and they have the most interesting names.
Lake Panic is the one place where one can enjoy a variety of these acrobats, but always intrigued what they are called.
With the assistance of "A guide to the Dragonflies & Damselflies of SA", I have tried to identify the ones I managed to :cam: during my number of Lake Panic visits. (Please, you are most welcome to correct me where I have ID incorrectly).

Common Tigertail (Afr Gewone Streepstert)

Blue Basker (Afr Blousonvangertjie)

Red Basker (Afr Rooisonvangertjie)

Banded Groundling ( Afr Gebande Grondwagtertjie)

I will be posting more I have :cam: somewhere else in Kruger on this link: Insect: Dragonflies
