Delagoa Thorn (Acacia Welwitchii)

This magnificent thorn tree can grow up to 15m & has a highbranching straight trunk. This tree forms an important part of all browsers' diets, this tree is quite widespread in the Kruger.

I'm not sure whether this is a shrub or a small tree :hmz: I saw it across from Nsemani Dam in mid-November 2014.

Hi Arks

I think it is a small Delagoa thorn.

It has the right look, correct leave structure, correct flower and is in the typical geological area where you would find the Delagoa thorn.
