Game drives that a wheelchair accessible

Unread postby CarelSnyman » Tue Dec 08, 2015 4:44 pm

I have been visiting Kruger for years and have always yearned to go on a game drive at night but I have one drawback - I am in a wheelchair and have never seen a game drive vehicle that is wheelchair accessible. :hmz:

I will be again be camping at Satara in March 2016 and will as always do most of my game viewing from my own vehicle, but it will be a great bonus if I can for once also go on a night drive.

Are any of the KNP Game drive vehicles at Satara wheelchair accessible? If not do any other rest camps offer this service?

I also wonder if people in wheelchairs are able to attend the Bush Braai's that are offered at some of the rest camps?

I will greatly appreciate it if some one can advise me on above.

There is some info on that in these posts Here
I think if you can be lifted into the front passenger seat but the back ones would be tricky as they require climbing up a ladder.

Thank you Elsa.

The 10 seater seems to be my best option.
