Hi,

All those areas are north of that Orpen road, R 3000/ ha - well there's hope for my game farm of uh...1 ha..?

I will keep that market value stat for interest...can you imagine the value of that land now if the Orpen family kept onto it ?? ..they would be the 'Orpenheimmers of the game farming industry.. :)

Regards..

Thanks WTM, that is most enlightening.

When I was last at Rabelias hut, I stood for a loooong time looking at the walls of pictures. I thought of our early pioneers and how stupid their vision must have been to many.
I thought of their courage and how we need to thank them now by honouring this legacy.

What the history shows is how dark it must have been at times. It was not a popular concept at all in the days of hunting and machismo.

I also wondered about the Orpens. What generosity. They had no idea that their gift would have borne so much fruit.
The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.
