Barks of Sclerocarya birrea subsp. caffra

Subject : Barks of Sclerocarya birrea subsp. caffra
I took the hereunder 8 photos in small arboreta of different camps in the south of Kruger National Park.
The trees were all officially labelled : Sclerocarya birrea subsp. caffra.
I feel that some are not : Sclerocarya birrea subsp. caffra.
Am I right ?
Could you tell me the one which are not ?

To my very untrained eye, I would say that #5 looks very different to the others.
I would also say that #7 is quite different, its not as blocky as the others.

Not familiar with the Marula subspecies however out of interest Acacia Karoo is found widespread thoughout South Africa and can vary from scrub bush in the dry areas to Huge trees along the Natal Coast.
What I am saying by this is that perhaps by them all being labelled subspecies Caffra is that perhaps they are all the same subspecies but may vary according to the soil type within which they grow for example.
Just a though ...but would also be interested to know if they are different subspecies!
