Re: On Line bookings at Sanparks
Hello. I have some bookings in August for the Kruger. Since some months I did a few changes of accommodations. Since the last change a few days ago I find that note at my existing reservations:
You have reservations that cannot be modified on the web. Please contact the call center, during office hours (Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 17:00).
Note that only future dated reservations will be available online.
Why is it not possible to change my reservations anymore, since I am waiting for a few accommodations to become available.
Many thanks in advance for help.
Mark

Re: On Line bookings at Sanparks
Good day, forum!
I'm running into a bit of a problem booking online. My first camp will be Biyamiti, and I was hoping to make the trek north to Mopani for my second camp. The system won't let me book as it says the distance is too great, but I've travelled from Biyamiti to Letaba on previous trips and made it before check-in, and well before gate close. Am I able to make the booking via phone/email to Reservations, or am I really misreading my chances to making it from 1 camp to another and should stay elsewhere?
Thank you

Stark, not sure any of the other methods will allow the booking either but then I haven't personally tried to do anything like that?
Biyamiti to Mopani is 273kms, a long drive for sure and not one I would really recommend.
Can also depend on what time of year it will be for with the changing gate opening/closing times as that can make quite a big difference.
One has to also factor in stops for meals, comfort breaks, sightings and of course the inevitable ellie or buffalo road blocks which eat into your time.
I would advise staying somewhere half way and make it a lot less stressful and more enjoyable.

Thanks Elsa. Mrs. Stark agrees with you, so I'm going to look at other options.

Hi Grit1962
I had no problem now to login and to make a reservation.
Please check again and let me know if you are still unable to login.
Did you try on another browser or device?

Re: On Line bookings at Sanparks
Hi All, it has been a very long time ........
We are visiting Kruger in September. To make the initial booking 2 weeks ago I took what I could get as not all first choices were available. I've been watching bookings and some of my first choices are now available but I'm experiencing hassles trying to make changes online, is this option available online? I have tried and had no joy with the booking system, perhaps it is playing up but if so it has been playing up for the last 3 days, I know this is over the Easter period. When I call up my existing reservation it shows my nights currently booked and there is an option to cancel the nights I don't want, alternately I can click on the night in question and at the bottom of that night booking I can cancel there. However when I try to replace that with a new option it tries to make a totally new booking, ie it does not replace the night on my existing booking.
I have also tried calling the 012 428 9111 central reservation number but when asked to enter the "1" for public bookings it does not react and repeatedly gives the options without accepting the "1" and placing me in a queue, I did persist with holding hoping that I may be in a queue but after 20 minutes gave up. I am currently visiting kids in Australia so not calling from Zimbabwe. I know I can email but assume that by the time reservations react to the email the choices will probably have been taken. Any advice?
Thanks John

Re: On Line bookings at Sanparks
John, it is available on line, not something I have personally done I might add so I take advice from those who have.but I'm experiencing hassles trying to make changes online, is this option available online?

There is a good explanation in This Post that might help.
But do also be aware that you cannot have a gap in your bookings as the system does not allow that.
