Unread post by murrayjacklin »

Which circle of chalets in Satara are recommended and or chalet types for 1-2 persons. I have found many times my chalet is very old especially the bathroom and kitchen. Have any been upgraded lately you can advise. Thanks Mur

Dear Forumites,

does anyone know which units in Satara and Olifants have been affected by the recent fires (https://sanparks.org/news/fire-incident ... ional-park)?

Thanks for your answers!!

Good day Forumites :D

Hope you are all keeping well!

Can anyone tell me if any of the BD2V (perimeter) bungalows have been renovated internally?

If not, could you recommend bungalows to stay in that are renovated/refurbished please :D

Thanks! :P

Dear Forumites,
Can anyone help with this minor issue. Last year while staying at Satara we noticed a new unit being built in Small Circle D, it looked like a cottage. We have been attempting to determine the type and unit number for next year's trip.
I have written to Satara hospitality to no avail, would appreciate any help.
Thx Barb

Barb, are you referring to D76 maybe? I have contacted customer service a long time ago and they agreed that this unit should get a separate booking code, but apparently nothing has changed since. It is apparently still the same booking code and price as the other units - not very understandable imho.

Could anyone please tell me if there have been any further renovations to the perimeter units BD2V beyond no 166 at Satara. When we there last year 161 to 166 had new kitchens and braais. Thank you

Yes, they have renovated a couple of units last year.
We stayed in unit(178) in June last year, unit 177 was being renovated during our visit.
We had a new braai, fresh paint job, new airco, new kitchen and a new fresh roof.

Good evening everyone,

Were the perimeter bungalows at Satara (BD2V) also renovated inside? I saw the photos of the new braai’s and kitchens, but I was wondering if any interior renovations were done as well?

Thanks in advance.

Update on D76:
"Unfortunately, the request to increase tariffs for D76 was not approved and we plan to upgrade the rest of the cottages soon to be on the same standard."
Very strange policy, as they are losing money, but anyway.

Good day everyone.

We normally request bungalow 167 or 166 when staying in Satara in the BD2V bungalows. Unfortunately, those two aren’t available this time. Could anyone recommend a choice between 161, 162, 171, or 179?

161 looks amazing, however I’ve read a few posts where people were complaining about the spotlight from the webcam shining on the unit (161), is that the case?

Thanks.
