In anticipation for our family's first trip to SA in July/August 2025, I have done a lot of research. Perhaps i have gone overboard on research and planning. We will definitely be spending a few nights in Addo. I have seen a few documents online mentioning new construction at Addo- new main gate entrance, updated facilities for day visitors, new Lendlovo Lodge family units (that look beautiful), and new family chalets (or pregaps those are actually just the Lendlovo Lodge units). It all sounds wonderful. I cannot find any other info though. Not even on here. If I am missing a post or two with more info please ket me know!
Do any of you know anything about this construction? Has anyone been lately and could see construction beginning? How long from bids to completion does SanParks usually take? In my area roads may take years to complete while a new hotel can be a dirt lot to a finished building in just a few months. So wondering about the usual length of construction time in the parks. Any more info would be greatly appreciated.

The only current construction in AENP is the 8 family units in Main Camp. The construction plan is to have them completed by the end of the year, but as with any construction anything can prolong the process.
