I find myself thanking you again, as your last post has made me feel more at ease with my friends being able to use my reservation with an explanatory letter from me. Before I received your most recent post, I tried to call the Malewan Gate to ask them about this situation, but I was unable to get through to them.

Yes I looked Elsa and found photos from 2018! Wasn’t sure if these were the latest photos.
It just says on the booking I have a LRVST2 so 🤞
Any ideas which tent to ask for which has the best view over the river please?
Thanks

Think they are from the website so unless anyone who has stayed in one of them recently can post some pics!

It does sound like the one you have on your reservation form as 0 will be a good one.

Have a read through the Lower Sabie Topic for some comments and pics.

There is not only one LRVST2 so you will not necessarily be given unit 0. The units face the river & are numbered from 16-29. They all have excellent views and are very special. You’ll not want to leave them!

Hi there! First time posting here, so hopefully I'm posting in the right place. I searched the forum for an answer to my question but couldn't find one.

I'm wanting to stay in some of the parks camp sites and I'm wanting to bring a small satellite dish for internet (I will be doing a bit of remote work). I have seen other people with DSTV dishes there before. My question is whether I can bring a 5-6 metre telescopic pole to place it a bit higher up?

Hi RJSutcliffe and a warm welcome to the Forum :gflower:

Most of the Kruger NP camps do have internet signal and a normal portable internet connection (dongle or wifi router) will be sufficient. Unless you want to connect to the Starlink?

Many thanks for the warm welcome! I’ve used the camp WiFi and mobile internet and it’s really slow. To be honest that’s part of why I love the park so much, keeps me off my phone. Unfortunately I will be needing some faster internet at times for various work commitments. Perhaps I can phone a camp manager to ask about a pole that size?

Hi, yes you may phone the camp and ask.

If you could indicate which camps you plan to visit, other members might be able to help with their experiences.

Many thanks :) I will try remember to report back if I get an answer. I'm planning on staying a month but maybe two or three months, so probably multiple camps. I haven't decided which ones yet because I'm still researching which campsites have more open sky areas. From what I can tell everyone looks for shade so I can probably get the sites that no one else wants

Hello,
We have used a Vodacom dongle for quite a few years now, and until recently our need included work related requirements. We never had a serious speed problem, there were occasions when connection between the hours of 5pm thru' 8pm could be an issue. Might be a good back up.
