Gathering at the river with sundowners

Unread post by Meandering Mouse »

Good morning mites.

I have The Cradle Tray ready with rusks and wake-up beverages. I have some really delicious black grapes today.

Elsa, you must be looking forward to your break. I just hope that there are no floods this year.

FimMari, I remember last year's Finnish Eurovision entry. He was delightful. It was also a very catchy tune. I think that I would be leaning toward the Green Party person for President. For me, it is not about who we love, but how we love. If I am going to take a guess, I don't think that my candidate won. :hmz:

Matty, :wall: about the extra load-shedding. It must cost you a fortune in the extra diesel expenses.

GEJ, these kitties get under your skin, don't they?

Hugh, I am not a fan of shopping, especially that kind of shopping. Good luck with the admin. I also had to get months' worth of bank statements because I am self-employed.

CoS, your politics are interesting at the moment and even Taylor Swift is being attacked by certain people. It would be amusing to watch were it not for some serious ramifications.

I had rather a sad day yesterday chatting with Mel and then later with Kirst. Shell is in Finland visiting Al so I didn't disturb them.

The week has started and I have a pleasantly busy day. I need to restock my fridge but I don't want to risk anything while is Stage 6. The dogs enjoyed their treat yesterday. I still have the kitty treats of beef Pastrami and Woolies double cream yogurt.

I am going to wish everyone a really pleasant day and a productive week.

A very good morning everyone

Warmer today with more blue skies and no rain forecast.

Thanks for the early morning tray MM.

Sorry about sad chat and also worrying one with Kirst. :gflower:

Pity your candidate didn't manage to win Mari.
seemed to be quite a close contest?

Good luck with the shopping but you sound very organised.
I also make lists before hand and when something is running low in the cupboards.

Do all have a marvelous Monday and week ahead.

Thanks for the Cradle tray :D and sorry about the sad day :k , MM.
Matty, :wall: about the extra load-shedding. It must cost you a fortune in the extra diesel expenses.
Just too expensive to have big generators running, so it might be that the packers will have to day and evening shifts.
Better to not risk stocking up much !

4 hours is horrible, Elizabeth !

Hope it does open, FinMari :k
Sorry that your candidate did not win, but is seems that the elected one will be consulting with him :D
Agulhas sounds good for tea time :D Wonder if Grantmissy is still there.
Happy planning and shopping.

A 38° day for us, Elsa !

A good morning and new week to ALL :gflower:

Morning all! We are definitely back in single figure territory.....and apparently today might be the only day this week with sunshine.... For some reason I woke up thinking it was Sunday so had to quickly rethink!

Meowgli is curled up on my lap after a brief patrol outside. Purrkins had a lovely long purry cuddle at wake-up time, some brekkie followed by zoomies which eventually caused him to race out the catflap...... He will be back to tell me all about it later. And as the heated airer will be on both kitties will be happy for a warm spot to snooze.

Washing machine has beeped so must go and put on the extra spin cycle quickly....

Keep safe!
Smiling is contagious. Start an epidemic today!

Have you read the entrance permit? Do you KNOW the Conditions of Entry?

Completed over 8 years in Kruger in my caravan.

If I was normal I wouldn't be me!

Good afternoon all :D

Shopping was easy. The day continues so grey, I decided to cheer me up with some flowers :D Orange and yellow tulips and Dianthus Caryophyllus

Elsa, Blue skies :D
I'm so planner, sometimes I'm shame how much I plan
I have a list of things going short in my fridge door.
Once a long time ago I sent SO alone to the grocery shop. Get some pickled cucumbers and liver pate & something to eat that day. He came back with 75€ bill, but no pickled cucumbers or liver pate
Just too expensive to have big generators running
So sorry Mattys :gflower:
A very warm day again for you. How you survive without AC

GEJ, Happy Monday to you :gflower:
Enjoy sunshine :D
Your heated airer sounds very good idea :hmz:

I think there'll be some interesting project / job for my candidate. Maybe something in CMI (Crisis Management Initiative) which was founded our former President Mr Ahtisaari :hmz:

I'll make some meatballs from lamb mince and feta. They are served in tomato sauce with coussous. All are invited!

Good morning everyone,

What a lovely cradle tray MM. I always appreciate the risks and for me wake up beverages, a nice cup of coffee. And now those black grapes were a real treat.

Absolutely correct, politics if you took out the seriousness of it, can be quite the comedy show. Especially here.

Elizabeth For our sounds way too much. How can you get anything started and then have to wait so long to finish it

FinMari I also try and do some meal planning but somehow it all goes awry . I really do need to get better at it. It will save trips to the shops and help with the budget.

Elsa enjoy the cool breeze!

Matty generators really can add cost not to mention they’re quite noisy. Sometimes when we have trees go down and our power is out for a couple hours, it sounds like tractors all over the neighborhood.

Homemade fig jam is the best. My Ouma had a tree and her jam was amazing

GEJ Sounds like your Monday is like my Monday, laundry all around

Well, Super Bowl turned out to be a lovely party. A very tense game but the team we were cheering for one, so I guess that’s all you can ask for. Ended up having a little Taylor Swift dance party with the girls and all their friends. I really appreciate that. Their friends are comfortable enough to party with us old folks. They keep us young.

It’s time for my 2nd cup of coffee of the day, good thing I saved one of those rusks !

Lekker slaap!
