Kruger Bird Book Recommendation please

Unread post by kkwm »

Hello,
Our family will be visiting Kruger next May. My daughter (young teen) loves birds and I want to get her a bird book for Christmas to bring along to Kruger. I see Birds of Kruger National Park by Barnes & Behrens, Photographic Field Guide to Birds of the Kruger National Park by Tarboton & Ryan, and Roberts Bird Guide. Do you have any thoughts on which might be best for a teen to use? Thanks!

I have "Guide to Birds of the Kruger National Park". Warwick Tarboton and Peter Ryan.
It was published early this year I think.

It is a very good book with colour photos as well as the most up to date distribution maps.

There is also
Roberts Bird Guide: The Kruger Park & Adjacent Lowveld

And if you can track down a 2nd hand copy of Newmans, Birds of the KNP, it may be long out of print, but still worth having
