To answer your question it might be feasible to explain some issues around the forum logo and the processes applicable to this project.

With the establishment of the SANParks Honorary Rangers, Virtual Region (VHR's) it was decided that the Forums will form part of the region as one of its "Parks".
It is obvious from all the correspondence that there was a request by forum members to have their own logo and the only way for this to realise was with prior approval by SANParks.

As a result of the above request a logo project was established on the VHR side and the logo was approved by SANParks. Because the logo incorporates the SANParks Kudu Kop, any merchandise containing the logo, also had to be approved by SANParks.

With this in mind, forum members were approached and a final list of items as posted in the topic for quotations was approved by SANParks.
It was decided by the VHR Region that these items will be sold to forum and SANParks FB members at a small profit that will be used to assist SANParks by procuring anti-poaching items needed.

This project’s initial stock was funded by the VHR Region, which took the financial risk as well.

The topic that Dinky Bird posted was a request to suppliers to submit quotes for the supply of the specified list of SANParks approved items.

The procurement and sale of these items are done in accordance with the SANParks Honorary Rangers procurement and financial policies by a sub-committee of the Region.

From the above it is obvious that this project is not run by persons outside the VHR’s due to the fact that any merchandise that contains the logo have to be approved by SANParks and managed in accordance to the policies as stated above.

There are however requests by individuals for fundraisers that was approved by the VHR Regional Management Committee of which the following are examples of:

WendyA’s Anti-poaching Initiative; and

Climbing the CN Tower in Canada for anti-poaching

In both instances the projects were monitored by the VHR’s and all expenditure incurred by the individuals was for their own account.

I believe that my comments above answered any uncertainties about the quotes as requested in the linked topic Here.

Are there still items with the Forum Logo available?
What are the items and current prices that are available ?
How does one go around purchasing and paying for items? We do not believe and are not in possession of a credit card so we would have to make an EFT a Payment.

And advise or assistance in this regard will be greatly appreciated.Thank you

To purchase items you should please do th efollowing:
1. E-mail your request to the following E-mail: [email protected]
2. An order form will be forwarded to you to complete and send back to the person who communicated with you.
3. When the order form is received, an invoice will be issued and forwarded to you that you can pay via EFT.
4. The Proof of Payment should then be forwarded to to the person you communicated with in par. 2 above.
5. All the documentation will then be forwarded to me for finalisation.
6. I will then communicate with you for the items to be delivered.

Hi Barry

Thank you yes it all made sense.The rear view window socks were exactly the item I was wanting.Our trip in December 2016,our yellow face cloth went flying off into the bush as did our our yellow ribbon when we went in April 2017.

Will they be manufacturing any more of these items?.My hubby quite fancies the backpack to take work on a daily basis.

Thank you for the response though ....at least if those items become available again I will know the correct procedure to follow.
