Im sure most of you know Lourens Botha, Head Guide at Olifants. Well, today is his last day as a guide in the Kruger National Park. This brings to end, a remarkable and very honorable 10 years of dedication and absolute passion to the park.
I think everyone reads his updates on the forum. From the Berg & Dal days, through to his Phalaborwa days, and the last couple of months his updates from Olifants, sharing his passion with each of us. His remarkable photos and now more recently, the youtube videos. Not sure many of us know this, but yes, Lourens is the main pilot behind the Go-Pro video recordings to which a lot of forumites contributed.
For those who have been lucky enough to have joined him on the activities, can only testify of his utmost professionalism, combined with his excellent knowledge and passion for all and everything.
Lourens has been a remarkable and very honorable employee to SANParks, a great Forumite friend to all of us here, but more so a very remarkable friend in true life itself.
I wish you all the best for the next chapter Lourens, but more so I thank you for what you have done here on the forums, as well as in Kruger, but more so in SANParks itself. They and us, the public, will surely miss you!!
