I'm counting down my last YFS posts until I leave for quite a while on Monday :(
Just two more after this... so I've tried to make it a good one 8)

As some of you might be aware the Euro 2012 football tournament began today, and what a great start it's been. I can, however, tell that other members of my family (notably the female section) are already getting bored at sport's dominance over the TV!

I've had a lovely break in Germany - but at the same time, I sure am glad to be back home, and on the cams! I'm off to Croatia (retired life is so difficult sometimes :wink: ) on Sunday, but I'll be able to keep up my YFS posts.

Sorry for the late posting! I'm sure you can understand that it's all a bit hectic being on holiday and all. To make matters even worse my Laptop died on Sunday and I only just fixed it this afternoon. Anyway...enjoy!

Another late night for me as I rush to put a selection together. I've decided to delay the June monthly selection even further until Wednesday. Hopefully that's OK - today's daily selection should be perfectly good on its own, however. I hope you enjoy it...

Heksie came awful close to getting the weekly selection right, but Vinkie went one better and got the daily selection exactly right. Well done!

I hope everyone is well and that you enjoyed yesterday's selection - I thought it was great! We've had our first Olympic gaffe here in the UK, with North Korean football players' photos being placed next to a South Korean flag accidentally. Oops! I just hope we get through the Games without sparking World War Three.

Well the Olympics opening ceremony is about to begin! It's fair to say there's a sense of nervous anticipation amongst the British. But also immense pride. Even at this early stage it's clear to see that the people of London, and much of the UK, have really pulled together to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're watching on TV, or are lucky enough to be going to the Games, enjoy!

I hope that everyone has enjoyed the Olympics thus far, on a day when Team GB grabbed its first medals - no golds yet though. Although I suppose as one BBC pundit put it, "We're still doing better than Germany"! :shock: :lol:
