The Waterbuck is a firm favourite of mine. Their coats always appear immuculate. Some of the males really do have impressive horns I am posting photos of a male and female to try demonstrate what I mean.

Now, why do the Waterbuck's lips move up and down like that?

(It only seems to happen with bulls, and when SWNMNBM is looking at them!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: )

lots of theories (just like with the stripes of the zebras) - some say it's supposed to help the animals follow each through the bush when they are running away from predators, others believe it should flies direct to the only place where the waterbuck can get rid of it by wagging its tail

Thanks ice! Hehehe, interesting, especially about the flies hahaha. Nothing to do with the mating season? The brightier the circle the better the male's genes etc etc?
