Me Chair, Mr Secretary and fellow Mites,
Due to the fact that the lapa's are not available I had a chat with Mads this morning and decided to vist Rietvlei again to speak to management at Rietvlei to chose between the picnic spot at Maraisdam or the Coffee shop. The following transpired from the meet with management:
Only groups of 20 max are allowed at Maraisdam. I was also told that it is normally very noisy at the picnic area and people normally invade group area's.
I went to the Coffee Shop and had a meeting with Renè. They are more than willing to be of service to our whole group. They have a special area way from the normal picnic area under two huge oak trees that they set aside for us. The following is included:
1. Tables draped with table cloths, crockery, normal glasses and cutlery needed for the braai;
2. Chairs;
3. Two big Braai's including wood for the braai's;
4. Tea and coffee will be available when we start our meet; and
5. Although they don't have a liquor license, they will have somebody available for people who wants to order soft drinks for their own account and they have ice for own account.
Total cost for the above is R 750.00 for the day that we as a group will have to pay.
REMEMBER All the side dishes (pap & sauce, Potato salad, carrot salad, mixed salad and buns) already sponsored and paid for, however feel free to bring any other dish if you wish.
