I just want to thank everyone that has posted and participated on this subject so far! Keep posting please! I really do appreciate it.

Just to let you all know that all the migrants have finally arrived last week and there is definitely some Amur Falcons among the Red-footed Falcons. If anyone can find some that will sit still for long enough to allow a picture being taken, please let me know.

 lots of birding to be done now!
Warm Nossob regards to you all

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all are very well!

Breeding season for the raptors have officially started  I can tell its going to be an awesome season. I do however need all of your help in locating some of the nests for certain species. If you guys come across any Bateleur, Tawny and Martial Eagle nests could you please forward the GPS co-ords (hhhh/dddddd) or kilometers from closest waterhole. That would help a lot!

Thanks to everyone who contributes! It is much appreciated! :gflower:

Greetings from Nossob and happy birding everyone :cam:

Went for a last drive to Kiy Kiy and back on Saturday morning with Vanessa and Stefan - coming back, well after the old Rooiputs turnoff, the sky was full of dozens of circling vultures that we watched coming in to land on the ridge on our left - unfortunately they were just over the ridge so we couldn't see what it was they were eating but we could see their heads - there must have been between 30 and 40 of them - Vanessa said she had never seen so many vultures  - will ask her to post as I know she took some photos ....

A few from 7-8 October 2012, no raptor nests noted but plenty White Backed Vulture nest in the area south of Mata Mata.

Pygmy Falcon - Kamfersboom aera
Image

Brown Snake Eagle - Craig Lockhart aera and Juvenile-ish Southern Pale Chanting Goshawk - Urikaruus area

Can figure out this one, couple km south of Mata Mata
