Re: Spring meet at the cradle and special guests

Good morning :D

Hugh arrives later today and is hoping to meet mites.

So far we have:

Mosij
Chirinda
OWN
Bushmom
Bushbaby30

?DavenJan
?Josh

Last time I had people visit from the forum they were confused at this gate. Yes, you do have to go through.

Because of the rugby and because people each have their own commitments, I am making it an open day. Come when you want. I am going to supply some goodies from Maggies farm, just bring a plate of something to add to the fare. I will supply tea and coffee, but if mites want something a little more "spirit"-ual, please bring it with.

Just remember this bridge, if you are going to have a little something celebratory. It has no sides.

When you get to the Crocodile river:

look carefully. This is where I saw my Moorhen, also various kinds of ducks and a Darter.

Day: Sunday
Time: anytime
What to bring: something to add to the table and own drinks.

I am making a quick posting before helping Hugh pack. I am not sure that they would cope without me

Firstly, to thank all for the good wishes. I think that it was very much appreciated by Hugh.

Sadly :( Shi sent apologies, she could not make it due to illness. Mosij was in Bela Bela and also out of action.

To those who managed the dusty roads    I think that I can say with confidence, a great time was had by all.

Those present:
Hugh and SO
MM
MM's mother

5 dogs, very much present
5 cats, hidden

In order of arrival:
Chirinda
Dave
Jan
2 delightful grandchildren
Bushmom
Bushbaby30.

The last guests left in the light of a full moon. My mother smiled at me, "MM, you have such lovely friends"

I agreed.

Re: Anyone interested in a braai at Marloth??

Unread post by Vlakvarkvrou »

11 Sept 2011.....and we had the braai at Marloth..........and what a nice kuier (visit).

Martie (mgoddard) - thank you for having us and for all the spoiling, feeding and turning the vlakvarke's arms to be on time for the visit!!! I think I can put you now in my bag of real friends!!!

Neels and Marié (vlakvarksegat) - thanks for coming back to keep Martie company. I got a bit worried that we would not be able to meet al last. Neels - now you have experienced fisrt hand how easy it is for a vlakvarkvrou (warthog women) to get lost in front of the house that she was supposed to visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Annette (click click) and Mum (Tannie Dot) - luckily you are in Pretoria and we will now be able to have more contact. Thanks for helping Martie to feed us and also for all the "chatting".

We also had a real Warthog coming to say hallo through the fence :D

To be continued.... :D

Meet Davejenny in CT

Unread post by Bush Baptist »

Davejenny contacted me from Shingwedzi a few minutes ago and I am not impressed :naughty:

I am at work. :wall:

Still, they will be in CT next weekend and would love to meet some Cape forumites.

To allow forumites with families to attend we will be arranging it for supper on Saturday 19 November, at the Santa Ana Spur at the Waterfront at 19h00.

Last time we went there everyone had a great time and it is not pricey.

Please respond via this thread and let's give Stiffnecks DJ a typical Cape welcome.
